Clean White Concrete is critical for a cohesive bond with the concrete; and a proper Epoxy / Polyaspartic “HardCore Garage Floor” installation.
DUST MANAGEMENT – OUR PG 450 GRINDER has an efficient dust management system that uses a self-adjusting floating cover to minimize dust in the work environment. In conjunction with our Husqvarna PG 450 floor grinder; Epoxy-King uses the 85 LB. HUSQVARNA DE 120 DUST COLLECTOR This a powerful HEPA dust extractor designed for heavy-duty usage in construction environments. It features advanced technology that lowers noise levels significantly and comes with integrated safety features such as a HEPA filter with EN1822 certification, ensuring high filtration efficiency for capturing fine dust particles.

SURFACE PREPERATION – Epoxy Crack Filling: Epoxy-King uses industrial grade epoxy for crack repairs in concrete; this creates a hard, cohesive bond with the concrete and prevents further deterioration.

We start by grinding out cracks in the concrete using a right-angle grinder fitted with a diamond crack chaser blade. The bade is designed specifically to widen cracks in a controlled and uniform manner.

After grinding we remove dust and debris with a blower and a vacuum until the new groove is completely clean. Once the crack has been prepared, we ensure the epoxy is pushed fully into the groove to prevent air pockets and provide a hard, cohesive bond with the concrete. This repair technique is effective for both structural and non-structural cracks.

INSTALLATION PREPERATION – Mixing Epoxy and Polyaspartic Resins Properly: Mixing Epoxy and Polyaspartic Resins properly requires precise ratios and thorough blending to ensure optimal performance, curing and durability in your “Hardcore garage Floor installation.

Epoxy-King carefully measures the components based on the manufacturer’s instructions, data sheets and specific mixing and application guidelines, as ratios and methods can vary widely depending on the products used.

We always mix the components in a brand new clean container, using our Dewalt drill and mixing paddle. It’s crucial to mix thoroughly until the mixture is completely homogeneous, which usually takes about 2-3 minutes; we mix at a low to moderate speed to avoid introducing air bubbles. If you mix the Epoxy or Polyaspartic Resins improperly, you are going to regret doing a DIY.

We will then PARTIALLY OR FULLY broadcast decorative flakes for a beautiful textured custom appearance. This also enhances the garage floor aesthetic and functional properties. Our customers can choose the colors and sizes of flakes according to their individual preference. We Broadcast Flakes by grabbing a handful of flakes and throwing them up into the air, letting them scatter as they fall onto the wet, tacky epoxy. This technique helps achieve a random, natural distribution.

Once the flakes and base coat are dry we remove any loose flakes by sweeping or vacuuming up the excess. Broadcasting decorative flakes not only enhances the look of your garage floor but also helps in hiding imperfections and provides a more slip-resistant surface. The Epoxy-King method makes your garage floor stand out, while providing a durable finish that lasts for years.

After letting the Industrial Epoxy Base-Coat properly cure overnight, the next day we come back and install our Industrial Clear Polyaspartic Topcoat, finishing with an anti-slip additive.
