TWO-DAY INSTALLATION PROCESS... NO RUSHED JOBS for a quick buck!

TWO-DAY INSTALLATION PROCESS
NO RUSHED JOBS for a quick buck!

OUR Two (2) Day Hybrid Installation Process is Client-Centric

WE PUT THE CLIENT FIRST, NOT THE COMPANY!

Meaning, Epoxy-King does NOT rush our jobs, scrambling to get in and out to make a quick dollar.  One (1) day installation often causes many mistakes and at times complete installation failures.

We apply our materials as per manufacturers recommendations.
First we install a Industrial Epoxy Base-coat and then a Clear Polyaspartic Topcoat.  This method  combines the benefits of both materials: the thickness and durability of industrial epoxy with the quick curing and UV resistance of polyaspartic finishes.

Here’s a detailed step-by-step process of how we achieve this:

STEP 1: SURFACE PREPARATION: DAY 1 — Epoxy King will Diamond Grind your entire garage floor using our 250lb. PG 450 Husqvarna Floor Grinder and Husqvarna Hep Vacuum removing all oil, grease, and dirt. Next, we will repair and fill in cracks and chips with a concrete repair compound. Make sure the surface is level and smooth.

STEP 2: MIXING and APPLYING the INDUSTRIAL EPOXY BASE-COAT: DAY 1

  • MIXING:  We will mix the epoxy resin and hardener according to the manufacturer’s directions.
  • APPLICATION:  Next, we will apply the basecoat using a roller to apply the epoxy evenly across the floor, starting from the farthest corner of the garage. Ensure complete and even coverage.
  • BROADCASTING OF DECORATIVE FLAKES:  If desired by the customer we will then broadcast decorative flakes or chips onto the wet industrial epoxy basecoat for a textured appearance.

STEP 3:  BASE-COAT CURING:  DAY 1

  • NO RUSHED JOBS for a Quick Buck Other companies push for in and out 1-day jobs, better for their company – NOT FOR THE CUSTOMER!
  • Epoxy-king lets the industrial basecoat epoxy cure properly overnight
  • Curing overnight is recommended by the manufacturers!

STEP 4: APPLY POLYASPARTIC CLEAR TOPCOAT:  DAY 2

  • After letting the base-coat properly cure overnight, the next day we come back a apply the Clear Polyaspartic Topcoat.
  • MIXING:  We start by mixing the clear polyaspartic coating according to manufacturer’s specifications. Because polyaspartic cures very quickly, we mix only as much as we can apply in a short time.
  • APPLICATION:  We then apply the industrial polyaspartic topcoat over the fully cured epoxy layer by using a roller and working quickly to maintain a wet edge, which helps prevent lines and marks.
  • STEP 5: ANTI-SLIP ADDITIVES: DAY 2. We fully broadcast the appropriate Anti-Slip Additives on to your garage floor which significantly enhances the safety and functionality of you garage floor. Our additives are fine to coarse granular materials mixed directly into and sprinkled on top of the wet polyaspartic clear coat before it cures. By applying the final anti-slip additive, creates a finished layer that is robust and slip resistant. This is particularly useful in climates where floors might frequently be wet.

    INSTALLATION PROCESS

STEP 6: FINAL INSPECTION:  DAY 2  Check the floor for any missed spots or imperfections. If necessary, additional touch-ups can be performed.

NOTES: HYBRID FLOORING SYSTEM:  Our Client First Hybrid Flooring System is excellent for garage environments because it provides a robust, long-lasting surface that can resist stains, chemicals, and abrasions, while also being quick to install. Aa a rule we always follow the specific product instructions and safety guidelines provided by the manufacturers of the epoxy and polyaspartic coatings to ensure the best results.

SECOND COAT:  Depending on the product and your desired finish, you may apply a second coat of polyaspartic for additional thickness and protection.

CURING POLYASPARTIC CLEAR TOPCOAT:  Because Polyaspartic coatings cure much faster than epoxy. The floor may be ready to walk on within a few hours and fully cured for vehicle traffic in 24-48 hours, depending on temperature and humidity.
